Intelligence Bureau Assistant Grade


This year, the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy is once again, searching for candidates for the Air force, Army and Naval wings. There are 335 slots available which shall be filled as follows: Army-195 slots, Air Force- 66 slots, Navy- 39 slots and Indian Naval Academy- 35 slots. The start date of the course is June 2012, which will commence as per Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) guidelines. The UPSC is the governing body responsible for conducting the Intelligence Bureau Assistant Grade II Examination.

The selected candidates will perform highly reputable jobs which creates a need for them to join a four year B.Tech Course in Executive and Technical Branches of the Navy and 10+2 cadet Entry Scheme. Once they finish the four-year course, they could already serve and stand for their home country, India. Working for the National Defence Academy would give the candidates great honor, dignity and respect as long as they would do their duties efficiently and effectively. Their job requires solid commitment and loyalty to their country. But before that, they must first pass the Intelligence Bureau Assistant Grade II Examination.

There are age and educational qualifications that need to be satisfied for the candidates to become eligible for the examination. First, only those male candidates who are born between July 2, 1993 and January 1, 1996 are allowed to apply. Second, applicants must have passed the 12th or its equivalent examination conducted by State Education Board or a Registered University. The same educational qualification mentioned shall also be the same for Navy and Naval Academy and Air force applicants, except that the subjects passed must be Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In able to completely take the Intelligence Bureau Assistant Grade II Examination, an application fee of 50 Rupees must be paid in any SBI branch (fee waiver for SC/ST candidates) or online banking via debit or credit card transaction. For candidates who will be applying via snail mail/ express mail, they will be required to deposit 100 Rupees through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS).

Interested Intelligence Bureau Assistant Grade II Examination applicants have two options in submitting their applications. They could send it online at www.upsconline.nic.in or by accomplishing the application form which can be purchased at selected post offices across the country. The application form costs Rs.30 which shall be stamped with Rs.6. Deadline of submission of application for both online and snail mail/ express mail shall be on 09-05-2011.
